The journey so far...
Born and raised in the gritty underbelly of South Bend, Indiana, my childhood was a stark contrast to the picturesque image of the Midwest. Growing up in the ghetto around James Whitcomb Riley High School, I witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of poverty and the devastating impact of addiction. My alcoholic and abusive father cast a long shadow over my formative years, leaving deep emotional scars that continue to fuel my artistic expression. This painful past, a constant undercurrent in my life, has profoundly influenced my music, imbuing it with a raw, honest vulnerability.
Recent years have been a period of intense personal growth and profound change. Facing significant health challenges and navigating the complexities of family life, I've experienced a renewed sense of purpose and a fierce determination to chase my dreams. Music has become my refuge, a source of solace and a powerful means of self-expression. I'm embarking on this artistic journey with a spirit of unwavering passion and a deep-seated desire to create something meaningful.
While I may lack formal training, I'm eager to learn and grow. My plan is to dedicate myself to honing my vocal abilities, mastering an instrument, and delving into the intricacies of musical theory. This is just the beginning of my artistic journey, a journey filled with hope, resilience, and the unwavering belief that my voice deserves to be heard.
